Langory's privacy policy for schools using Feide

By using our service as a school with Feide, you agree to the following terms, privacy practices, and cookie usage.

• Privacy Policy for Schools and Municipalities (FEIDE users)

  This section applies specifically when Langory is used by schools and municipalities via FEIDE login.

  Data Controller and Roles

  • The school/municipality is the data controller.
  • Langory AS is the data processor, and a data processing agreement is established in accordance with GDPR Article 28.

  Purpose of Processing

  • Facilitation of personalized reading practice.
  • Monitoring students’ learning progress (reading speed, comprehension, progression).
  • Development and improvement of the service on an aggregated, anonymous level.

  What Data is Processed

  • Feide ID and the user’s affiliation with a school.
  • Learning preferences and content preferences.
  • Usage data such as reading speed and quiz results.
  • Technical logs (IP, login time) – stored temporarily for security.
  • All data used for AI training is 100% anonymized and cannot be linked to individuals.

  Security and Storage

  • Data is stored in AWS data centers within the EU/EEA.
  • Encryption is applied during transfer and storage (TLS 1.2+ / AES-256).
  • Access control differentiates between teachers and students.

  Retention and Deletion

  • Data is retained as long as the user is an active student.
  • Inactive accounts are deleted or anonymized in accordance with the school’s agreement.
  • Backup data is deleted according to documented routines.

  User Rights

  • Students and guardians have the right to access, correction, deletion/anonymization of data, and may file complaints with the Data Protection Authority.
  • Requests are handled via the school or directly with Langory.

  Breach Notification

  • In the event of a security breach, affected customers will be notified in accordance with GDPR Article 33 (within 72 hours).
