What is Langory?
Langory is a web application that makes it easier to learn a language by providing tailor-made stories, where the reader chooses their own path and decides where the story goes. The foreign language is gradually introduced in the story, eliminating the steep learning curve and easing the user into the learning experience. You get points for being an active learner and there are effective tools sprinkled throughout the solution, e.g. a word-quiz after each story ends.
Why does Langory exist?
We want to create a world where language learning is joyful, immersive and effective for everyone. We want to be an alternative to endless doom scrolling on TikTok or Instagram - we want to be fun in a good and productive way. We believe everyone learns faster when reading stories they love and at the same time increasingly being exposed to more and more of the language they want to learn. Apps with funny birds might have a role to play, but we believe reading volumes is better, and as the threshold to starting that Spanish book you want to read is high, with Langory you can start today. Before you know it, all the text you're reading is in Spanish, and you're ready for that Spanish book (or to visit Spain - highly recommended as well).
Who are we?
We're an efficient group of people mostly based in Norway, that draw from our own learning experiences (and previous startups) and apply new technologies to innovate the language learning process. We are motivated by building exciting products and making people happy in a healthy way.
